Protection Terms and Conditions

Overview

Kabir Decor Studio (“the Company”) offers an optional Protection Plan to safeguard your 3D printed home decor purchases against damage, loss, and theft during shipping. This Protection is an add-on service charged as a percentage-based fee at checkout and is explicitly opted into by customers.

Scope of Coverage

  • Protection covers defects, damage, loss, or theft occurring only during the shipping and delivery process, up to the retail price of the covered item(s).

  • Coverage begins once the order leaves our facility and ends upon successful delivery confirmation by you or the courier.

  • Protection includes coverage for breakage of fragile 3D printed materials (such as PLA), surface damage affecting product aesthetics, and misdeliveries resulting in loss.

  • Coverage does not extend to damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, exposure to extreme environments post-delivery, or modifications made after receipt.

Limitations and Exclusions

  • Customized, personalized, or made-to-order 3D printed products are eligible but subject to return policy exclusions (e.g., no returns for custom designs unless damaged in transit).

  • Protection excludes damages caused by improper handling after delivery or unauthorized repair attempts.

  • Coverage excludes product defects due to manufacturing faults; such issues fall under our standard product warranty and not Protection.

  • The Protection plan does not cover loss or damage caused by weather-related events post-delivery or during customer possession.

  • Intentionally caused damage, neglect, or cosmetic imperfections after delivery are not covered.

Filing a Claim

  • Inspect every item immediately upon receipt to confirm condition.

  • Report any damage, loss, or theft within 24 hours by emailing support@kabirdecor.studio with clear photographic/video evidence as well as the order and Protection fee receipt.

  • Claims submitted late or without required documentation may be rejected.

  • In cases of fragile or intricate 3D printed items, close-up photos showing the extent and nature of breakage are especially helpful for swift processing.

Claims Process

  • Upon claim approval, affected items must be returned with original packaging following instructions and prepaid shipping labels provided by the Company.

  • Returned items undergo inspection, typically within 7 business days.

  • Valid claims will result in replacement items shipped within 10 business days or a refund of the product cost, exclusive of the Protection fee.

  • Customers retain the right to opt for replacement or refund in case of approved claims.

Protection Fee and Refunds

  • Protection fee is optional and disclosed clearly during checkout as a percentage of the order value.

  • Once activated upon order processing and shipping, the Protection fee is non-refundable regardless of order cancellations or returns.

  • If the order is cancelled completely before shipping and Protection activation, a Protection fee refund may be issued.

  • The Protection fee exclusively covers shipping risks; it does not cover in-home damage or misuse.

Force Majeure and Extensions

  • In extraordinary events like natural disasters, pandemics, or courier disruptions, claim deadlines may be extended upon notification and evidence.

  • Regular delays or personal negligence will not qualify for extensions.

Dispute Resolution

  • The Company strives for fair claim resolutions and encourages customers to reach out for review or escalation if dissatisfied.

  • Further disputes are subject to Indian consumer protection laws applicable to e-commerce.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Exercise care in unpacking delicate 3D printed items and document all damages promptly.

  • Keep original protective packaging until claim matters are resolved.

  • Provide timely communication and required evidence for claims.

Modifications and Updates

  • Kabir Decor Studio may update Protection terms and conditions or fees as needed, with updates posted on the website.

  • Active orders retain the terms effective at time of purchase.
